Thoughts for Thursday

I was browsing YouTube in my lackadaisical pre-academic stupor and I came across this song performed by Sean Foreman of the amazing upbeat band known as 3OH!3 and Marques Toliver a stunning violinist. After seeing Foreman at Warped Tour screaming out lyrics to songs like "Holler Til' You Pass Out" and "Chokechain" and busting out break dancing moves with bandmate Nat Motte I was suprised to see a sentimental or serious side to Foreman. So cute... and Nat too! I don't know what the song is called, but the video title is "Sean Foreman of and Michelle Michelle of 30h3!".

I have named it "Broken Stone" for the hell of it and here are the lyrics.

“Broken Stone”

There must be something in the wind

on that day

sang to them

in their graves

and you were screaming so loud

I added to that voice

and sang so proud

and we're counting crows

I'll take these hands down

remove the cemetery

to pick up the things you said you hear

in this town

these throws

kept close and so can I

no, I never found out what you did

and you were lying in the sand

you took my hand

into yours

and made it sand

and I won't ever let you go

after all this time

I made a plan that we all die

our hands, darling

pick up the cemetery

to find up the things you said you hear

see this town, these kids

wont never let you go, ever

with the things they say

I'll take this broken stone

around my neck

and I'll cast it

into the deepest part

of the Atlantis

and you were screaming for the crowd

on that day

say goodbye to him

before he braved

the cold and the darkest night

that he'll ever find

lost in dawn

it's alright

my friend you're gone

I'm not afraid to take your hand

and walk on through

it's this place as this close

and the department store is locked

but we'll find out where to go

oh I'll take this broken stone

around my neck

and I'll cast it

into the deepest part

of the Atlantis

this stone around my neck

and I'll cast it

into the deepest part

of the Atlantis
